Please explore some of the ways that you can help make a difference!

Clearwater Marine Aquarium relies on generous tax-deductible donations, admission fees and membership dues to meet its daily operating and animal care needs. While admission fees do provide much of the necessary funding, it is not enough to cover the costs of fulfilling our mission. Each day, our staff and volunteers work tirelessly to provide quality care to our many resident and rehabilitating marine animals, as well as continue to educate our community and visitors alike on marine animal safety and conservation.

Donor Bill of Rights: To assure that philanthropy merits the respect and trust of the general public, Clearwater Marine Aquarium is proud to follow the Association of Fundraising Professionals Donor Bill of Rights.

Making a Gift of Stock

Do you own assets such as stocks, bonds, and mutual funds that have increased in value since they were purchased? Often a stock donation can count for more, enabling you to make a larger gift at a lower cost. By giving appreciated stock directly to Clearwater Marine Aquarium, you avoid paying capital gains tax that would have been due had you sold the stock. You will also receive an income tax deduction (federal and most states) for the full market value of your gift if you itemize deductions on your tax return, and have held the assets for one year or longer.
