Get up close with our Nurse Sharks. Guest will check in and be guided down to shipwreck ally to be introduced to Thelma and Louise and all their friends that share the lower mangroves habitat. The guest will be educated on the history of Thelma and Louise and given a brief lesson about shark species. Walking up from Shark Cove the guest will be seeing the behind the scene area as they stop by food prep to prepare the Sharks food for their personal encounter. After the food is prepared for the session, the guest will walk upstairs to the lower mangrove area to meet with staff. Staff will direct them to the shallow water platform; guest will be briefed on the basics of behavior modification and the important of husbandry. As the encounter gets under way the guest will assist from the training staff with moving the shark to new locations, fed and desence the sharks to touch for exams. It's a true encounter as you get to see and hear the nurse sharks suck there food into their mouths, feel the roughness of their skin and even look into their eyes! Make sure you smile for a few pictures and wearing shoes and clothes that can get wet!
Participant must be ages 8 and up.
Maximum weight per participant: 250 Lbs.
Participaant will have to kneel or sit in small area, on a moving platform, for 15 to 20 mins.
