PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY:
The captain must ensure that the crew follows proper safety procedures and practices; make certain the boat's equipment and machinery are in working order; and be responsible for the safe loading and unloading of passengers.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Ensures proper maintenance and operation of the vessels
Ensures general readiness of CMA vessels including: Fuel, oil, water, waste; Safety equipment; Vessel cleanliness; Ensuring all proper Documentation and Placards, Manuals, Charts, Lightlists, Radio Station License, etc. are on board; Any other documentation that is required of a Small Passenger Vessel
Will have the capability to make safety announcements on each trip and ensure proper demonstration of location and operation of safety devices.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY:
CMA's Lead Captain will be a current United States Coast Guard (USCG) licensed mariner who has the responsibility for oversight of CMA service vessels, their readiness, maintenance, and supervision of the captains and crew who operate them.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Ensuring maintenance and operation of the vessels
General readiness of CMA vessels including: Fuel, water, waste; Safety equipment; Vessel cleanliness; Scheduling of periodic maintenance; Scheduling of annual USCG inspections; Ensuring all proper Documentation and Placards, Manuals, Charts, Lightlists, Radio Station License, etc. are on board; Any other documentation that is required of a Small Passenger Vessel
The incumbent will ensure each Captain and mate are qualified to perform their respective duties according to USCG requirements including but not limited to: Current USCG license with appropriate designations; Marine radio telephone operator's license; Enrollment in an approved random drug testing program; Emergency procedures and Man overboard drills
The lead captain will schedule all captains and crew members for each vessel
Develop appropriate periodic training for captains and crew members to ensure safe operation of vessels and oversight of passengers.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
Current USCG Master of Steam near coastal 25 ton license (minimum, 100 ton License preferred).

Merchandise Buyer will build strong vendor relations and strong business planning strategies for the Clearwater Marine Aquarium's online and retail stores.
Ensure all sales and profitability goals are met or exceeded through savvy merchandise planning, forecasting and through planned category budgets.
Planning and implementing quarterly cycle counts and end of the year inventory standards and goals are achieved.

Additional duties include: selling of merchandise/up selling, ensuring individual daily sales goals are met, answering guest's questions, opening/closing POS stations when necessary, processing cash &credit sales transactions, replenishing stock to ensure sales productivity and any other additional duties as assigned by the Director of Retail Sales or supervisor.

Safety Program Manager/Dive Safety Officer

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY:
The Safety Program Manager will work with all staff, including department heads, within the organization and a diverse team of volunteer divers, in the implementation of overall CMA safety policies and dive safety procedures as well as establish and enforce guidelines to ensure safety throughout the facility for both staff and visitors. The Manager will possess a broad knowledge base in all aspects OSHA requirements and guidelines for safety at CMA and safe diving protocols at CMA. The Safety Program Manager will also be responsible for periodic inspections of CMA's facilities and equipment to ensure all local and federal safety codes and guidelines are met.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Interface effectively with other departments to maintain the highest quality safety standards
Responsible for following up on all accident reports within the facility to ensure safety issues are properly addressed
Responsible for conducting fire drills with staff to ensure all staff understand the evacuation routes, emergency procedures, and the safe zones
Responsible for conducting and training diver extraction drills
Responsible for all life safety equipment and ensuring the proper inspections and labeling is maintained onO2 kits , first aid kits, AED, back boards etc.

Instruct morning and afternoon camp curriculum including classroom, snorkeling, kayaking, and animal interaction programs.
Maintain a clean, organized, and properly prepared classroom.

Supervise campers during lunch break.
Supervise volunteers and interns within the camp program.
Monitoring and mentoring junior volunteer and college level interns.
